Oregon Water Fund Rules Proposed
Oregon's water supply development fund is becoming a reality. According to Capital Ag Press, the Oregon Water Resources Department is persuading lawmakers to authorize $50 million in bonds to pay for the state's integrated water resource strategy, which includes $6.25 million for the water supply development fund.
OR Needs Angel Tax Credit to Stimulate High-Risk Investments
According to a new report from the Technology Association of Oregon, the state lags behind other areas of the country in terms of actual dollars invested and the number of high-risk investment deals that are made. According to SSTI, the state needs to establish an angel tax credit to incentivize more investments by angel investors.
Build America Champion Wyden Has New Infrastructure-Bond Plan
Bloomberg reports Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) introduced a bill with Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) that would allow the use of PABs for transportation projects.
$300K in Small Business Innovation Grants Issued
Business Oregon announced an investment of more than $300,000 to help Oregon small businesses. The fund is designed to support companies that have already earned federal research funding through what's known as America's largest seed fund.
