OR Lawmakers Consider New Corporate Tax Plan
Effects of a proposed new corporate tax on Oregon's economy could be minimal but mostly positive, an analysis by the Legislative Revenue Office found. If enacted at the level Warner described the changes would raise $637 million of net revenue for the state in the next budget cycle.

OR's Senator Wyden Proposes ‘Clean Energy for America' Tax Credits
Ron Wyden and his colleagues introduced a Clean Energy for America Act on May 5 that includes technology-neutral tax credits for domestic production of clean electricity and clean transportation fuel, as well as performance-based tax incentives for energy-efficient homes and office buildings.
State Historic Tax Credit is Crucial for Rural OR
In Oregon to date, the federal tax credit has helped jump-start 232 projects since 1981 totalling $1.1 billion in estimated project costs and more than $216 million in tax credits. Nationally, the program has helped rehabilitate 41,270 buildings and created 2.3 million jobs, according to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
OR Gives $154M to Schools to Prepare for Earthquake
Oregon is giving $153.6 million in grant funds to 100 schools and 47 emergency services to help lessen the devastation an earthquake, expected sometime in the next 50 years, is predicted to cause. Oregon's largest school district, Portland Public Schools, snared $4.5 million.
