WEDC Launches Grant Program to Advance Entrepreneurship
The new pilot program will provide grants of between $10,000 and $100,000 for activities such as the promotion of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education, mentorship and training, and business development and financial services.

New Loan Guarantees to Assist WI Farmers in Flood Recovery
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority is providing loan guarantees to farmers who suffered damage from extensive flooding in northern Wisconsin during July. The guarantees can be used to purchase goods or services needed by farmers.

Direct Supply Awarded $22.5M Tax Credit For Milwaukee Expansion
A Milwaukee company that supplies equipment and services to senior living facilities has been authorized to receive up to $22.5 million in tax credits to help add about 800 jobs over the next seven years and expand its global headquarters on the city's north side.

Direct Supply Headquarters Creating 800 New Jobs in Milwaukee
To support the expansion, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has agreed to establish an Enterprise Zone for the project. The actual amount of credits issued will be contingent upon the number of jobs created and retained, and the amount Direct Supply allocates for employee training

WHEFA Facilitates With $2.1M in Bonds for Valley Packing
Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA was used to help Valley Packaging Industries refinance bonds previously issued by WHEFA in 2005. Proceeds of the bond financing will also finance the repair and replacement of parking and driveway facilities at certain of its locations in Appleton, Wisconsin.

WHEFA Provides $44M in Bonds to Fund St. Camillas Health
Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA will help St. Camillus Health System finance the acquisition, construction, renovation, remodeling and equipping of a new building.
