Global Louisville Action Plan Unveiled for Economic Development
The plan is a collaborative effort among the Mayor's Office, GLI and hundreds of community members, and outlines key strategies to attract, retain and grow Louisville's foreign-born population and workforce.

KEDFA Tax Incentives Support $13.5M Tyson Expansion
The $13.5 million project is expected to create 66 jobs. This investment follows an $8.2 million, 91-job project announced in June 2015 that also addressed processing stations and freezer space.

Nine Louisville Small Businesses Receive a Total of $168K in Loans
The Louisville Forward Economic Development's Metropolitan Business Development Corporation (METCO) and the Department of Community Services' Microbusiness Development Program awarded these loans to help with business renovations or expansions.

KY Distillery Investments Top $1B in Six Years
Since 2010, the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development has announced 77 spirits-related investments at a rate of more than one per month. Combined, the projects total more than $1 billion expected to be spent on the booming industry.

KY Angel Investment Tax Credit Looks to Repeat Success in 2017
As was the case in 2016, the program will offer a total of $3 million in tax credits, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual investors are limited to $200,000 in credits annually. In 2016 through the end of November, 98 qualified angels made 108 investments.
